A web browser that supports the HTML <FRAME> markup is required to view this
part of the website. The primary reason for this is the use of the ArcIMS web mapping package
which provides the interactive mapping capability.
However, the USGS also maintains an alternate website that uses static maps,
salinity and chloride data. This site can be found at:
More extensive coverage of the monitoring conducted in southern Florida can also be found
at the same site, at http://www.sflorida.er.usgs.gov/sal_data/.
Funding for the USGS to design and maintain this site has been provided through a cooperative agreement with the Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department (WASD). Water-level conditions are monitored by the USGS with support from Federal, State, and local cooperators.
